I have not used this, because I hardly ever use Dashboard anymore, but if you are looking for 2001 themed software for your Mac, look up the Hal Project screen saver (not listed on MacUpdate, so far). That is a serious project that does work well and is visually well crafted. I am not connected with the Hal Project, I just enjoy it a lot.

long before it was Pay-ware... a ScreenServer that never worked....
Just some Images from Kubricks Film 2001... nothing special
not worth the download...

This is kind of fun. The text is a little small and blurry, and of course it has no real use, but as a fan of the movie I had to check it out!
I did have to disable it though, since it was using 60% of my CPU cycles! But it was fun to check out.
